Did you know that many American holiday customs came from Germany? These traditions were brought to the U.S. by German immigrants. International Club will be meeting on Tuesday, December 16th. Come to this meeting to learn about German holiday traditions. Make a craft, eat a snack and celebrate the holiday season! Sign-up sheet is outside of room 111.
To any student interested in joining The Cooking Club. Sign -ups will be held on Monday, December 15th, outside of Room 101! There are only 30 spots available for this club so get there to get a spot! Our first meeting will be after the holiday break! Please see Mrs. Lederhouse with any questions!
Join the Bay Trail Student Advisory Committee at our 6th grade event on Thursday, December 18th after school from 3 until 4:30 in the Bay Trail cafeteria. We will have games, music & snacks. Tickets will be $5 and include a snack; additional snacks will be available for purchase. Tickets for this fundraiser will be sold during 6th grade lunch on Tuesday December 16th and Wednesday December 17th.
The Bay Trail LEAD Committee will be putting up an exhibit to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day with your work! You may write an essay or create a piece of artwork to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Please email your submission to Mrs. Baranowski no later than Friday, January 9th. Please check out the bulletin boards outside of the Main Office and cafeteria for inspiration. We can't wait to see what you create!
The competition is on Bay Trail! As we have mentioned, we are partnering with the PTSA and the Penfield Ecumenical Food Shelf hosting a food drive until December 19th. The competition takes place on December 16th during our Community Building Day. The Community Base class that has the most food contributions will win a prize from the PTSA. So gather those non-perishable items and bring them to your Community Base class on Tuesday, December 16th and help out those in need.
